Our Pastor

BEHOLD! I am Isaac Taylor, the current Pastor here at Nativity Lutheran Church.

We are a family church, and ministry is certainly a theme in my personal family as my wife, Pastor Christine Taylor, is the pastor at the other ELCA church in town! At Nativity Lutheran Church, everybody knows everybody, and we treat all people who come through the door with the love and respect that human beings deserve. Around town, the people who know of us call us, “the welcoming church”. We are quick to draw people in and make them part of our family here at Nativity, and we would love to see you at church on a Sunday morning or at one of our many other community events!

Pastor Taylor is originally from Farragut, Tennessee. He went the University of Tennessee where he was on the swim team, and graduated with a BA in Geography in 2015. Following his time at UT, he worked for TVA as a GIS technician before he moved to Australia for a year of accompaniment mission work at Yirara College in the Outback. Upon his return to the States, he enrolled at the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC, where he met his now wife, Pastor Christine Taylor, and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2023. Pastor Taylor is also a Chaplain in the United States Army Reserve.
